I came to Mountainside about a year or so ago and had a pleasant time. I think the best part was the facility itself and the therapists in detox and residential. Today I work the steps and am involved in helping others. I started working in the energy field and can support myself!
Mission statement, staff kindness, facilities, extracurricular activities were good. Communication was poor. My son entered the care of Westport House in 2014 after a strong recommendation from his therapist at Silver Hill Hospital. He remained within their care for a total of eight months and has been sober ever since. Highly recommend attending the Family Programming events, as it helped my husband and I navigate our relationship with our son as he began to restructure his life. Kind and sympathetic staff that still check in with my son to this day. Very grateful for this facilities help, would absolutely recommend their services.
Effective, long term, innovative, different, highly individualized, very reasonably priced, amazing staff, private, comfortable. I had gone to over a dozen traditional treatments in 10 years and was addicted to opiates. Every one of them was very similar , the idea was to keep me from home and in a controlled environment while the world around me kept progressing and changing. I would do very well in every place I went, but would come home and leave the "bubble" only to come home and relapse. Aware Recovery Care walked with me to help me learn and live recovery. Their special attention to family systems work was like none other. I could work, goto school, spend time with friends, and live with support and guidance. Aware came to my home and helped me get my life back on track.
