The treatment here is effective, they did however lose a bag containing my laptop, birth certificate, and a flash-drive containing digital forms of my ID and Social Security Card. An entire suitcase of clothes was also “missing” after my discharge.

I went to Penfield many years ago. I graduated the program but still went back out. I was not ready to get clean and sober at that time. It was my choice. I haven't hit bottom yet. Almost 5 years ago, I hit that bottom. I thought of what I've learned in Penfield. I accepted Christ in my life. I honestly gave up completely. As of January 27, 2019, I am 100% clean and sober. But you know what? We beat the odds. My wife and I did it together. By the grace of God, we have made it this far. Thank you Penfield for what you taught me. It might not of worked when you wanted it to, but it did work

Bethesda Recovery
Bethesda being a spiritual program based on biblical principles, while also incorporating other recovery steps, caught my attention. Also, the constant contact with the director, building a "trusting" relationship before my arrival, helped my final decision. My experience was not an easy one to say the least but extremely effective at Bethesda Recovery. I gained a true identity, not per say an "addict" in recovery. I was and still being restored to hopes, dreams, family and friends. Learning about Jesus Christ, and the Twelve Gates( part of this program) I found life and a future. I continue to live drug/alcohol free, and still very much affiliated with Bethesda Recovery. I strive to give back as much as they have given me. A new life.
