Nurse Shay, she does everything through love. TA's Tanya, Keita, Cecil, Darren overnight, Natasha overnight were all great. My therapist Ali, Therapist Trina always made me laugh and has been very welcoming to me even though she wasn't my therapist. Were trying to work it out so I can continue seeing Ali privately after I leave. I love the groups, Demitrius in general has a great personality that keeps you engaged. He makes us laugh and makes us feel comfortable. He's in the perfect profession, it seems to be his calling. Cami also keeps us engaged and presents things in a way we can understand. She is beyond kind. She takes her time out on the weekends to help even if you're not her client. She's very observant and if she notices something is off she will check on you. I enjoy the way Amy presents her groups with great topics that involve all of us. She has great discussions that are creative and talk about the role that we play in each others recovery. Spa night I really enjoyed. We had a lot of attendance and did facial masks. It was really fun and everyone got involved. I learned to become more mindful before I speak. I'm really happy about the things I learned as far as honesty, telling people when I'm having a craving, learning not to suppress my feelings, important healthy communication skills. I've learned so many coping skills and mindfulness techniques to take home with me. I attended the sponsor event and it was very helpful hearing the different sponsors talk about sobriety and the things that sponsors can help with through their own recovery. There was such a variety and it was truly helpful. They also had food and games which made it fun.
I am a graduate of this progam, Was on their praise and worship team from 2008-2010.. Did alot of Unrecognized work there.. Overall this program and the staff taught me alot about life.. I was alot younger when I was there and not as mature spiritually and mentally as I am now.. It has been 8 long years since I graduated! I am currently 33 years old, Reflecting back on what they taught me and all thefun, I wish I could\'ve stayed to advance.. But like they teach you in the classes, God has placed a higher calling in my life, but I still minister and share my times at this place with people that Cross my path Daily! I currently live in Texas, and I\'ll tell you what, Houston definitely Needs a place like this... please feel free contact me, I am a fellow alumni member!
