AIM House, LLC

I was an AIM House Participant in the Spring of 2019. Not only did this program save my life, it gave me my life back after struggling with addiction for many years. This isn\'t just your average 12 step program. It targets the person as whole using practices from eastern and western methodologies. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. I would recommend this program to any young adult struggling with addiction, depression and anxiety. Their willingness to encourage you while still focusing on you achieving and maintaining your recovery makes it a top notch program. Of course, you have to want to achieve those goals in order to make them a reality but the staff\'s personal experience in addiction and recovery makes this program unique in Colorado.

Young People in Colorado Need Treatment

Stimulant addiction and prescription painkiller addiction are both big problems for those under the age of 24 in Colorado, says the Colorado State Attorney General. About 20 percent of people admitted to treatment for painkiller addiction and 29 percent of people admitted for stimulant addiction in the state fall into this age group.

The good news is that young people who need it are often getting treatment in Colorado. The bad news is that they are losing precious years of their youth to active drug addiction. If someone you care about is abusing drugs and alcohol - no matter their age - you can help them get into treatment. Simply talking to them about the problem is a great start.
