Jack Petti comes from a unique background, having struggled with addiction from the very early age of 12 years old. Addiction grabbed hold of Jack early on as he discovered that drugs and alcohol provided an escape for him, enabling him to numb negative feelings or emotions. With a tough upbringing in a family of ten siblings and a lack of family stability, Jack grew up getting into quite a bit of trouble as his addiction rapidly progressed. Jack struggled with substance abuse while cycling in and out of boarding schools, wilderness programs and treatment centers for seven years before reaching bottom. At the age of 19, after years of living in self will, demonstrating extremely destructive behavior and shutting out everyone from his life, Jack came to the realization that he could no longer continue living the way he had been. He entered himself in a long-term treatment program in California with hopes of developing a better manner of living. Jack spent more than a year going through all levels of treatment programming and established a solid foundation for recovery. He has used his story to help individuals struggling with the same problems he once struggled with. Jack now works in recovery, taking advantage of this platform to share his story, experience, strength and hope with young adults fighting to break free of the same seemingly hopeless state of despair he once knew all too well.

He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, as well as an M.A. in Counseling Psychology, and is a licensed mental health counselor and national certified counselor. Prior to joining Laguna Treatment Hospital, Rollins served as interim CEO and COO at a 148-bed hospital in the Bay Area and at a 171-bed facility in Sacramento, California, providing leadership and overseeing operations of the two largest free-standing psychiatric facilities in the state of California. Before his work in California, Rollins held a leadership role at a large integrated healthcare system in the state of Indiana where he testified before legislators on expanding crisis and addiction services. Rollins is passionate about reducing the stigma of mental illness and addiction and shares his knowledge and personal experience—including the loss of his sister, a registered nurse, to suicide—on various media platforms. Rollins is a member of the Steering Committee for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (1-800-273-TALK) and the California Hospital Association and a winner of the Center of Leadership Development’s Human Achievement Award. When he’s not working, Rollins enjoys photography, traveling, playing percussion, and drawing.

Dr. Christian Small is uniquely triple Board Certified in Psychiatry (ABPN), Addiction Medicine (ABAM), and Family Medicine (ABFM), as well as ASAM/CSAM Certified. Dr. Small is among a handful of doctors in the US who have completed additional training to acquire the skills necessary to treat full spectrum medical and psychiatric illness. His treatment philosophy is founded upon the idea of a mind-body connection, that true healing takes into account both the physical and emotional needs of our clients. Dr. Small completed his residency training at the University of California San Diego (UCSD), where he currently holds the title of Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor. He acted as an addiction psychiatrist for the Veterans Administration in La Jolla prior to co-founding Bold Health Medical Group, an outpatient clinic specializing in personalized medical, psychiatric and addiction treatment in Encinitas.
