This is a great IOP program! The staff here are awesome! They treat you very well, it is a good place to go if you are serious about getting clean. The sober living is in nice apartments that are walking distance from the IOP, there are nice tv's in each apartment. There are many stores and restaurants nearby if you are trying to get a recovery job. I highly recommend this program! I have stayed sober since graduating the program last October
The men at Purple Men’s Active Recovery were there when I needed it most for over a decade. After years of cycling in and out of recovery and addiction in my twenties my thirties have never looked so promising. The treatment during your stay at Purple is immersive and intense. You are perpetually thrown into physical activities and 12 step based recovery meetings throughout Atlanta. You are taught how to properly participate in life yet again with new found perspective from sobriety. The brotherhood of graduated alumni are there to educate and entertain you as you start to learn how to hold a job/go to meetings/ make friends/ accomplish goals/ and live a purpose built life. I can’t recommend this place enough and if you are serious about making a change.
I arrived at Penfield in December 1988 just before Christmas and the desire to drink or use any mind altering chemicals were removed. I believe the lord led me there. Ken Klun checked me in, Jim Vogt was the director and was on vacation. Not a doubt in my mind then or now God led me to Penfield Christian Home in Union Point, GA, a place where you could connect with your inner most self. I love this place and carried everything that was taught with me and still think of everyone that the Lord placed in my path. Still clean and sober after all these years and if I can do it, ( old crackhead) there is no excuse you can’t do it along with AA and the good Lord!
