Finding Goodyear Treatment Centers
When the city of Goodyear, Arizona conducted a survey to discover how happy their residents were, almost 90 percent of those who responded said they are more than satisfied with their lives. That's an impressive number for a city with a population of just over 65,000 people. No city is perfect, and that applies to Goodyear as well. The state of Arizona as a whole had a teenage marijuana use rate that was even higher than the national average in 2008.
What Needs to Be Addressed Before Going to Rehab?
Information released by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration for 2010 confirms that marijuana addiction treatment numbers for all ages are also high at over 5,000 admissions.
Arizona Drug Treatment NumbersSAMHSA has a great deal of information on addiction treatment admissions for the state of Arizona. Some notable numbers are:
- There were 28,789 total admissions in 2010.
- Alcohol addiction made up 21.5 percent of these admissions.
- About 29.1 percent of heroin admissions were for patients 21 to 25 years old.
- Approximately 93 percent of those admitted for amphetamine abuse treatment were white.
- Admissions for smoked cocaine dependencies were the most evenly distributed between genders.
The work begins before you even get to rehab. Not only do you have a great deal of outside tasks to accomplish; you have to prepare yourself for great changes in your life as well. If you're participating in an outpatient treatment program, you don't have to worry about being absent from daily activities. Instead, much of your preparation for treatment is mental. You'll need to prepare to detox from the substance in question, and be willing to open up in therapy. Other treatment options may require more extensive financial and personal arrangements, but the mental preparation is the same.
