Do not send a loved one here. I went strictly for detox. Not suicidal or homicidal. I was stripped searched. Totally unexpected and from that point forward was uncomfortable w/ this place. I spent 4 days there. I was then sent to an actual hospital bc they thought I had Covid, I didn\'t. I could not keep anything down, lost 10 pounds and my BP average was 175/125. My 1st day detoxing felt like precipitated w/d. 20 hrs of my legs and arms restless and non stop puking. The floor sup was rude and should be a prison guard. Nurse was my angel. I wanted to AMA 1st night there but was told I would be held there for 24 hrs. Then the psychiatrist who had not met me yet said I would be petitioned to UPC right after. Meaning my rights taken away, sent to UPC in cuffs and in a cop car. Needless to to say, I stayed at Valley. I was told upon release, I would be referred to a sub clinic. I assume that bc the hospital they had me sent to for Covid testing, released me home, is why I never got that referral. Also, they placed all my belongings in front of rude floor sups office and everything went missing. No addictionologist on unit either. Place is a joke.

Therapist are good. Social service and nursing management are cover ups of critical incidences.

Dirty, horrible food, stupid groups, and the staff treats you like a 2 year old. Far better facilities in the Phoenix area. Avoid this place unless it's a last resort.

If you are one of many affected by the mental health regulations in Arizona by their very own government, I hate to say it but you'll need to leave the state of Arizona. Let Arizona economy crash, they do nothing for patients that are in serious need of medications for panic attacks and/or adhd. Arizona should fall apart because their mental health facilities, so-called are a JOKE!

The third time around was absolutely a NIGHTMARE . New owners lack education, and caring to the patient and staff. The Therapist, Doctors and Nurse's are excellent, but I will never go back or recommend .
