    Narconon Colorado

I went through Narconon Colorado in May of 2012 and I am still sober from drugs and alcohol to this day, a little over 5 years later. I liked that the program had an alternative approach to dealing with addiction than the traditional 12-step model. The sauna program helped me feel better physically than I had felt in years and I realized a lot of things about myself and why I resorted to substance abuse while I was going through the life skills courses. The staff was all very helpful and caring. This program helped me regain balance in all aspects of my life and gave me the tools to live a productive and meaningful life that I no longer want or feel the need to escape.

    The Raleigh House of Hope
Hi, I’m Eric Lapp, the Founder and CEO of the Raleigh House. Just this year, we’ve celebrated our 10th year of serving our community. One thing I’ve learned after working with over a thousand families is that substance abuse devastates families. It destroys lives but most importantly, people do recover and families get better. Long ago I discovered that addiction stems from years of LIFE and it is just a symptom of something more going on. We didn’t cause it but it is our job to figure out how to live a healthy life. The Raleigh House takes a multifaceted approach to treating addiction but first we have to understand the contributing factors of why and how it exists in the first place. At The Raleigh House we are careful to understand what is driving the substance use and the behaviors. We understand that addiction in some cases is a family disease, patterns and behaviors started at a young age that later manifested as problematic substance use and mood irregularities. In order to treat the desire to use, drink and act out unhealthy behaviors we have to grasp the entire picture. What was the childhood like, was there enough attention, was there enough love and nurture, what about support and discipline? Was there space to make choices, was there guidance if there was a better decision? Where did it come from and what prohibitin advancement in life. At The Raleigh House our job is to raise awareness and begin the transformational process, your job is to keep it!

    Searching for Westminster Recovery Programs

It's not uncommon for families to be caught off guard by a loved one's dependence upon drugs or alcohol.

The resulting search for a Westminster drug rehab can often be frantic and uninformed. Recognizing the need for drug addiction treatment is a huge step in helping your family member, but it is far more effective to know what you're looking for and to have a rough idea of what types of services will benefit your loved one before you lock yourself in to a particular program. At the phone number listed above, an addiction treatment expert is waiting to take your call. He or she will discuss the personal issues your loved one is experiencing due to drug and alcohol abuse and help you to determine which path of treatment in Westminster will be most beneficial. The call is free, and the lines are open 24 hours a day. You have nothing to lose by picking up the phone.A Guide to Entering a Rehabilitation Center

Colorado Substance Abuse and Mental Health Issues At-A-Glance published by the Substance Abuse and Mental health treatment Administration (SAMHSA) reports that Colorado is among the top 10 states in the United States when it comes to numbers of residents struggling with drug abuse issues.

Colorado ranks in the top 10 for issues like:

    • Past-month illicit drug use (for those who are in the 12+ age group and the 26+ age group)
    • Past-month use of an illicit drug other than marijuana (Coloradans between 18 and 25)
    • Past-year cocaine use (those 12+, 18 to 25, and 26+)
    • Past-year nonmedical use of pain relievers (those who are 26+)

Why are there so many issues with illicit substances in Colorado? A landlocked state, it seems intuitive that few substances produced outside of the country would even be found within state lines. However, drug trafficking is thick in the state, and Denver is a hub. Many in Westminster have constant access to drugs like heroin, cocaine and marijuana produced in other parts of the world as a result. Ultimately, access leads to abuse which in turn leads to addiction - and addiction slowly destroys the lives that it doesn't snuff out through overdose or accident.
