I've been a resident of WMRH for about 3 months, and in that short amount of time I've hade my ups and downs, days I was ready to quit and days that I felt on top of the world. But in all these scenarios, I could always count on the staff here at White Mountain recovery to be there to talk to me encourage me and put me on the right path. Believe me I'm not easy person to deal with but once I reconnected to my higher power and realized I can't do it alone things got a lot better and if I have a bad day I know God is there for me.🙏🏾
If you really want to work on your recovery, this is the place to go. The accommodations are not as cushy as some other treatment centers but comfortable enough. There are both single and double rooms with twin beds. Communal shower/bathroom, living area, kitchen in the cabins. The facility is completely gender separate.......in fact you can get into trouble by talking to a member of the opposite sex! It is strictly an Alcoholics Anonymous based program....no NA, CA or any other A program here. And you will start to work your steps. Most people at least get started on their 4th Step before they leave. There is a gym with weights and a ping pong table that you must go to every day. All groups and activities are mandatory. They also allow you to smoke in designated areas. They also offer PHP, PHP+, and IOP levels of care with separate living facilities off campus for those programs. .
excellent counselors that truly care none they address mental problems and addiction problems, the counselors are excellent, very patient. They taught my relative how to recognize trigger points and equipped him with alternative ways to cope.
