The Detox house was a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home in a nice neighborhood. Meals were catered for lunch and dinner. The cabinet and fridge were always full of anything you wanted to eat. Detox is 3-10 days depending on the severity of your addiction. No matter what you've heard, there is nothing they can provide you to feel better. Medical Assisted Therapy is provided after everything is out of your system. Residential housing is a larger 3bdr/3bath home in a nice neighborhood. There are two people to a room and men and women are in separate house. During the beach/park visits we are reintegrated with opposite sex. The houses were companion animal friendly. If you do not have one, the backyard includes a Koi pond with wild ducks. Transportation is provided by staff to all activities and daily meetings. 6 out of 7 meeting each week are AA. 12 step is emphasized but not a requirement. Majority of the residents were addicts, some were alcoholics. There were 25 men in 4 houses and 4 women living at a separate house. Living rooms had TVs with all the apps and movie channels installed. Bowflex, stationary bike, punching bags, and laundry machines in garage. What I learned in the program: -To live my life without using. -If you want to use again, your misery will be fully refunded.
This place saved my daughters life. Wonderful facility with great staff. We have tried many different rehab places and this was by far the best. Very personalized plans and approach for every individual.
Staff is absolutely amazing. My treatment plan was individualized and always felt like was on a path to finding an answer to my disease. Everyone here is incredibly helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend Irecover to anyone looking for help.
A veteran rehab in
California is a specialized rehabilitation center designed to meet
the unique needs of veterans dealing with substance abuse,
alcoholism, and co-occurring mental health disorders such as PTSD,
anxiety, or depression. These facilities provide individualized
treatment plans that consider the challenges and trauma associated
with military service. They offer dual diagnosis support to
address both addiction and mental health issues simultaneously,
ensuring comprehensive care.
Veteran-specific therapies,
such as trauma-informed care, group therapy with fellow veterans,
and alternative treatments like equine therapy or yoga, are
commonly available. Additionally, these centers help veterans
navigate
VA benefits for rehab
and access other resources for long-term recovery. By fostering a
community of peers who share similar experiences, these rehabs
create an environment of trust and understanding, empowering
veterans to overcome addiction and build a healthier, more stable
future.
Yes, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) typically covers
rehab services in California for eligible veterans. The VA offers
a range of programs to help veterans access addiction treatment
and mental health care, including inpatient and outpatient rehab
services based on individual needs. Medically supervised detox
programs are often included, as well as individual and group
therapy sessions that use evidence-based approaches like
cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-focused therapy.
The VA also covers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) using
FDA-approved medications like Suboxone or methadone to manage
opioid or alcohol dependence. Additionally, veterans can receive
care for co-occurring mental health conditions, such as PTSD or
depression, through dual diagnosis treatment. Rehab services are
available at VA-run facilities or VA-approved community rehabs
that accept VA benefits.
Choosing the best veteran rehab in California requires evaluating
several key factors to ensure the facility can meet your unique
needs. Start by looking for rehabs that specialize in
veteran-specific programs, offering tailored care for challenges
like PTSD, trauma, and mental health disorders alongside
addiction. Verify that the facility is licensed and accredited by
reputable organizations, such as the Joint Commission or CARF, to
ensure high-quality care standards. Opt for a center that provides
comprehensive treatment options, including
dual diagnosis addiction care
, trauma-informed therapy, and alternative treatments like equine
or art therapy.
Experienced staff familiar with military-related challenges, such
as addiction counselors and therapists, are essential for
effective care. A supportive environment with peer groups and
veteran-focused therapy sessions fosters trust and connection,
which are crucial for recovery. Additionally, choose a facility
that helps navigate VA benefits and connects you to resources for
continued support after treatment. Finally, consider the location
and amenities of the rehab, ensuring the environment is
comfortable and conducive to healing.
