I was there for alcohol dependency and the change of lifestyle that I needed was learned in sober living. I did not consider myself a patient for psychotherapy. Lack of information under the programs controls.I fought through it, completed the program and it's now not my concern. Just an FYI.
I can honestly say I loved it heresomething you dont often here from clients in treatment facilities. I hopped from place to place for years and this is the place that saved me. The facilitys approach to healing is unique and helped me feel like I was a part of something greater than myself. I connected with new parts of myself by exposure to animals, fresh air, energy work, and a whole lot of love. While more standard therapies are also staples of the treatment curriculum, what I found different was the frame through which healing was approached: at other facilities I was taught to cope with emotions and thoughts in a way that highlighted my separateness from others and confirmed unintentionally that I was alone; at Rites of Passage, I learned to self-regulate by feeling my place with others and in the universe. I gradually began to feel that I wasnt so different from everyone else and that healing was possible. Other places just teach you to get by. Also helpful and unique is that A Rites of Passage might alter the curriculum for you based on your needs. I received a treatment that was somewhat tweaked from that of my fellow clients, though our comradery was ever strong and we did most things together. I made good friends, and we did most required and non-required activities together. The group is small enough to instill intimacy and attention to each client, both from the facilitators and from each other. Rites of Passage also includes specialized nutritional healing within every clients treatment plana crucial part of the healing process that none of my previous facilities attended to so thoroughly. Above all, much of what I needed when I entered treatment was a sense of community. Rites of Passage was just that: a perfect balance of loving care and professional boundaries that helped me learn how to form my own boundaries with loved ones. In learning this, my relationship with my family and friends improved ten-fold, because I finally took responsibility for my actions. Because of this treatment model I learned how to give my family and friends the love they deserve. When people see me today, they cant believe I am the same person I was 3 years ago. Knowing places like this exist, theres no doubt in my mind that anyone can do the same. Thank you Rites of Passage __
I attended Narconon in the fall of 2015 and after hitting my lowest point i called and the first friendly voice I heard was very helpful with getting me set up to get into treatment and even came and picked me up from my house about an hour away once getting to the facility I was met with respect and kindness which put me at ease given the circumstances I completed my program in about 4 months and my time there gave me a new outlook on my life as well as giving me the tools to handle life once I left I can proudly say that today I am two years clean and I don't think I would be without all the staff that helped me get through my program even on the tough days I was always able to express what I was feeling and able to have any problem I faced handled and worked through it also helped that the food was amazing and I always felt like I was safe to go to any staff member for advice Narconon saved my life no doubt about it and I will be forever grateful
Drug rehabs in Arvada can help Colorado families facilitate the changes in their lives and in their homes that they dream about.
Medical and psychological treatment is the first step toward all the goals you have for yourself and your family when someone you love is living with an untreated addiction. Without addressing the addiction, it will be difficult to accomplish much of anything. Too often the symptoms of addiction and its negative effects ruin your capabilities, steal your motivation, and destroy your opportunities.Colorado Substance Abuse and Mental Health Issues At-A-Glance published by the Substance Abuse and Mental health treatment Administration (SAMHSA) says that Colorado is among the top 10 states in the country when it comes to the least perception of risk associated with using marijuana once or twice a month among those over the age of 12. This is a serious issue for young people for a number of reasons.
Why is Colorado leading the nation in the perception of marijuana as harmless? Perhaps it is due in part to the legalization of the drug for medical purposes. When more and more people use the drug to treat illness, visible and invisible, it appears to be harmless to the younger set. And with increased availability due to legalization, young people may have an increased opportunity to experiment with the drug and develop a chronic abuse or addiction issue.
