Behavioral Rehabilitation is a remote place almost in the middle of the most peaceful place ever. It is a well maintained establishment and it is very clean and has some great accreditation's. You are surrounded by acres of beautiful wooded property and almost a sense of calm comes over you once you get here. It is really unlike anything that i ever thought I would be ale to experience while getting help with my addiction. I came from a great family and morals and over the years was blesses to have a family over the years and a great career and this illness that had overcome me was beginning to interfere with everything along with being face that my family was falling apart and I was looking at being left without them had I not gotten the help that I knew I needed. I had worked for so long to achieve the things that i had in life and because of some senseless decisions that I was making I was loosing everything. I was willing to get help but I have read some horror stories about some of these places where you are more or less just thrown into a room with people and left to figure things out on your own more or less and or fight for your counselors attention because they have so many people to deal with at one time there is not enough one on one time for them to dedicate to you directly. I did not want to waste my time on something like that, and I did not want to be in a place that seemed like it had a revolving door, just to get you in and out without really working with you on anything just so they could get in the next individual for a profit. I also did not want a place that was going to have you leave when you weren't ready to go. This place that my husband found was not like any of those places and I think that is why I felt so calm once I got here. Obviously I was nervous and many other emotions but it really all dwindled away once getting here. The staff first of all is immaculate, they are so nice and positive and respectful and in no way shape or form look down on you in any way for the things that are going on in your life and their main focus it to really take the time to learn about you and your struggles so that they can properly take the time in deciding what is going to be best for you as far as treatment is concerned. Not once did I feel degraded or out of place, I felt as though I was just important as the next person that came in for an addiction and the person before me. They really know how to treat people here. Their main goal is to help you be the best you that you can be and make you strong to face the world again once you leave clean and sober and drug free. Aside from how great the counseling and staff is that is working with you on a daily basis, the kitchen staff and cook is also great. They have a private chef that not only communicates and tends to those that may have allergies to some things but he also works with us all in terms of a healthy diet and meal plans. Aside from the private chef there is also a personal trainer on site to help you train and learn and get insight on your body and keeping it healthy as well. It is like this amazing team or highly trained individuals that have all come together to be able to give the best support and understanding and help into your addiction problem that you can not help but to be successful once you leave here. They offer vitamins, minerals, acupuncture, massages, aroma therapy and many other things that you would not know were even available in terms of recovery. One of the last things that i enjoyed about this place was the fact that they did not take away one drug for another, you have to be aware that this is not a drug replacement program and if that is what you are looking for I suggest that you evaluate your options and what is best and for me I knew that I did not want to be off one drug just to be placed on another one. To me that was not helping me recover from an addiction but more or less masking the problem with something else as a coping mechanism and that to me was not beneficial. There are a lot of programs out there I am aware of the but none of them compare to this one and what it has to offer. I thank my husband on a daily basis for taking the time to research this place and helping me to get my life back not only for him and our children but more so for me so that I could overcome this horrible time in my life and get back on track with the tools and techniques that i needed and was lacking in the beginning to be able to stay clean and sober. I encourage anyone with an addiction to give this place a call and I pray that it will save your life as it has mine. Each day is precious and a gift we should do anything to we can to see the true value and meaning of living life to the fullest.
My son agreed to go to Best Drug Rehab after this last time he overdosed on heroin. He had overdosed once before but refused to go to treatment at the time. This time we found him passed out in the bathroom of our home during his little sister’s birthday party. It was a nightmare to say the least. I’m not sure what made he finally agree to go to treatment, whether he was just scared he was going to die if he kept it up or realizing that he was killing the people around him just as surely as he was killing himself. My husband and I had been researching treatment centers since we realized that our son was using heroin. We had talked to the intake counselors before but couldn’t really do much without our son’s agreement to go. It looked like such a great place and every time I spoke to someone on the phone they were extremely helpful in giving me advice on how to get my son to realize he needed help. As soon as he was checked out of the hospital he flew straight to BDR. The intake counselor had given us a list of what to put in his suitcase so we didn’t to stop anywhere for him to pack and change his mind. When he got to Best Drug Rehab he was so severely underweight that it was hard to look at him. He had gotten a little better in the hospital but I was still worried about his overall health. One of the reasons we picked Best Drug Rehab was that they had a personal trainer that works there and meets with all the patients. I was assured that once my son finished detox and moved to the main building he would meet with the trainer and work out an exercise routine along with the right kind of diet so that he could gain his weight back while still remaining healthy. I’ve always believed that a healthy body helps you keep your mind in a good place and I really like that they work on everything at Best Drug Rehab. Mind, body and soul. Before my son went there and I watched all the videos of Best Drug Rehab and talked to the intake counselor, it made so much sense to me to not just work on the addiction but instead really work on every aspect of the patient’s life. Hearing the difference in my son’s voice as he called us throughout his program was amazing. He started to actually talk to his father and I and wasn’t calling for the sole purpose of asking for money. I really appreciate the different programs they have there and that all of them are done without giving my son different drugs. I’m finally able to talk to my son when he’s completely sober and I haven’t been able to do that since he was 17. We went to visit him a couple weeks ago and it’s unbelievable how much he’s changed for the better. He’s back up to the weight he’s supposed to be at and he looks fantastic. He’s smiling and good natured again and yet he’s told us what his plans are and how he is going to accomplish them. It’s incredible what this rehab has been able to do for my son. I’m so happy we were able to find such a great place for him to go.
