The focus on the after treatment work program was great: getting back into the job market, learning about the financing etc. I would like to see more of a holistic activity and physical activities. Overall experience was very good.
The facility strengths are some of the techs. Overall the program is pretty good, days can be long here but it benefits me. There are a lot of weaknesses in this program. I have never seen such unprofessional higher ups in my life. They are not supposed to mess with your mental and emotional state and believe me thats what they do. I mean we all come to this program to get help and we have problems we have to work on and its like they dont care, they find any little thing just to throw you out. It gets pretty bad when you cant voice your opinions without getting threatened to be thrown out! There needs to be a change in the people who run this place because its literally a madhouse with the people running it. Also i would like to voice that the snacks they give us during the day is fatting like chips and candy and soda. My experience here has been good but rough at the same time. It has nothing to do with the clients but with the people in charge here. You come here to get better and work on yourself. They should work with your issues not bash them and try and throw you out. There are perks of being here though. I am in PHP right now which is a house of 9 guys in a house. (House definitely needs relocation, right in front of a drug dealers house and is mold infested) you come to the center from 9 to 5:30 everyday Monday through Friday. Groups from 9:30 to 3:30. Its gets tiring because its everyday and its all day to. I got through it and so can you! But not every place is perfect. Just letting you know what to expect before considering coming here. It is a struggle, but so is addiction. You choose the path.
