Having struggled with his own issues with addiction for decades, he was inspired by his own personal experience (and the fellow physicians who helped him regain control of his life) to work to help others who are struggling. As of February 11, 2018, Dr. Sina celebrates 7 years in recovery and remains an active participant in 12-step programs. His experience allows him to better understand his patients and their struggles with addiction on a more intimate level. In his spare time, Dr. Sina enjoys skiing, snowboarding, and scuba diving. Dr. Sina is also a certified general aviation pilot and frequently rents planes to fly leisurely.
