If you’re looking for a treatment facility for either you or a loved one- Coalition Recovery is hands down the best choice. I have never met a staff more dedicated to actual PATIENT CARE than this facility. Truly, this staff is committed to not only caring for patients in fragile physical and/or mental states but also assisting in the process of sobriety beyond the inpatient level. This is not 'just' a treatment center; it is the first step in a new beginning.
Take it from this recovering addict, recovery is a great investment! I personally know someone who spitefully gave a one star review and know for a fact they were just upset about being referred out to a stricter place due to breaking rules and trying to create chaos at Boardprep. The clinical director is patient but will not let one person ruin the experience for others. The person relapsed of course and now blames the world for their consequences. Clue: that is what we addicts do when we are not in recovery . . . we take no responsibility. I imagine any other negative comments are from people in similar circumstances although I do not know for sure. Everyone that I know that completed the Boardprep program is still in recovery and has nothing but great things to say about Boardprep.
Very caring & professional staff. Focused on the disease of addiction & set me up for success in recovery.
According to data from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH), 13.9% (or 326,000) of people in the Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater areas reported using an illicit drug in the past year while 8% (or 188,000) reporting having a past-year substance use disorder. With hundreds of thousands of people needing help, there is a high demand for addiction treatment in Tampa and the surrounding areas.
For residents of the Tampa Bay area or those looking to travel to Florida for care, there are several different rehab centers in Tampa and nearby that offer treatment for substance use disorders. Each treatment center has a unique approach to care, so it is important to find the right facility and program for your needs.
While not always necessary, some people begin their recovery journey with detox. A treatment center that provides medical drug and alcohol detox in Tampa will have medical staff available to monitor patients as they go through withdrawal and prescribe medication as needed to make the process as comfortable and safe as possible. This can help patients achieve a substance-free state so they can more easily transition into ongoing treatment (e.g., inpatient or outpatient rehab) to address the root of their addiction.
Treatment for substance use disorders includes a range of programs that vary in duration and intensity. An inpatient drug rehab in Tampa will have patients live at the treatment center for several weeks or months so they can receive intensive, structured care. Patients can expect to follow an individualized treatment plan that involves a robust schedule of behavioral therapies, holistic programming, and group therapies.
In contrast, outpatient addiction treatment will still include therapy and support groups but without having patients live at the facility. These programs can range in required time commitment and duration depending on the exact outpatient level of care. An intensive outpatient program in Tampa, for example, may have patients come to the facility a few days a week for a couple of hours of treatment a day.
Because people have unique needs and goals when it comes to treatment, some drug addiction rehabs in Tampa will offer specialty programs. These programs can be tailored to people of a specific population like the LGBTQIA+ community or those requiring specialized care. A dual diagnosis treatment center in Tampa, for instance, will be able to treat people who are also struggling with a mental health disorder and need more intensive mental health treatment. With the help of the serene and tropical environment of the Bay, there are also luxury rehabs in Tampa that are designed to meet the needs of people accustomed to a higher standard of living and looking for added comfort during their treatment program.
While health insurance, including Medicaid and Medicare, can cover most, if not all, of the cost of treatment, there are other low-cost treatment options for people who do not have insurance or cannot afford the remaining costs.
Some drug and alcohol rehab centers in Tampa will also offer sliding scale or payment assistance options to help people who would otherwise not be able to afford care. There are also local organizations and addiction resources in Tampa that are low-cost or free. The Salvation Army, for example, has a couple of locations in the Tampa area that services like therapy, case management, and housing to help people in need. New Beginnings of Tampa is another local organization that provides services such as transitional housing, mental health care, and medical care for no cost.
If you are having trouble finding a Hillsborough County or Tampa rehab that meets your needs, you may want to consider expanding your search to other addiction treatment centers in Florida or seeking guidance in the selection process. Benefits of Entering a Rehab Clinic
There’s no question that drugs can ruin your life. A quick perusal of the newspapers can prove that fact. For example, according to news reports, a man who was once a middle school teacher in the Tampa area was arrested for drugs in 2007, and now he is under suspicion of attacking several people while under the influence.
In a rehab program, you can break this cycle. You’ll learn how to undo the damage done by addiction, so you can think clearly once more and keep your cravings in check. You’ll also learn how to repair your relationship with your family, which might allow you to develop a support group you can lean on when times are tough.
