Coming into Able to Change i was not sure whether I wanted to stay sober or not. The employees have all been through similar experiences in there life and are more then willing to share how they got through it. After 28 days inpatient I was willing to stay for phase 2 and move into out patient. It was the only program that I did not relapse in and completed. I took 6 months off of all substances and have no intention to go back.
Incredible staff who are knowledgeable and deeply devoted to the work they do. The treatment incudes holistic options such a yoga and meditation, physical exercise, 12 step meetings, addiction education and team building exercises. The length of treatment usually lasts between 4-6 months which helps created a stronger base of sobriety. Housing could be better maintained. Before coming to Tree House Recovery I had been through 12 previous treatment centers of varies types and lengths of stay without ever being able to achieve any real sobriety time. THR was the exact mix of holistic and physical activity, individual therapy, addiction education and 12 step ideology that I needed. I was not babied or pampered like I experienced at some other rehab facilities but instead was encouraged to make the changes within myself.
HHR saved my life. They provided effective groups & sober experiences that gave me the opportunity to ease into my recovery. They treated me with respect & challenged me to change my life for the better. I am 2 years clean. I am forever grateful.
According to the Substance Abuse and Mental health treatment Administration (SAMHSA), more and more people are seeking drug treatment in California. In 2002, about 154,000 Californians enrolled in drug rehab. By 2005, that number had increased to more than 183,000 patients. Does this increase mean that more people are developing drug dependence or that more people are seeking treatment?
In general, when numbers change in terms of drug addiction treatment admissions, they mirror changes in drug use and abuse on the street. So if there are more people living with an active drug addiction, typically there will be more people seeking help at drug rehabs. However, this also means that the number of people who need treatment for addiction but don't get the care they need is also increasing. It's a tough problem and one that can be devastating for families who want so desperately for their loved one to get better and stop abusing drugs and alcohol.
