I recently celebrated 2 years of sober living. I started using drugs and drinking heavily in 2000. I have been in over 20 rehabs, detoxes, institutions, and jail. I thought I was a lost cause. In 2014 my husband insisted that I go to treatment for 30 days at Futures after he researched many facilities. I did not want to go but wanted to save my marriage. I was terrified of treatment and even more so of living life sober. When I arrived I was shocked. It looked like a luxury resort. The staff there were very caring from the housekeeping to the CEO. The rooms looked like small apartments. I was seen by a doctor and put on medication for detox. I had suffered some really bad detoxes in the past and was petrified. To my amazement this place knew what they were doing and I was up and going during the detox period. They made me very comfortable and the detoxification went smoothly. Futures not only helped me get sober. They taught me how to think and live differently. They had several treatment methods that I had never experienced. I learnt from each one. I no longer have to take anxiety medicine or try to escape by using. I still to this day use the methods of coping with life during trying times. If I ever need to talk to anyone in confidence I have a phone number of the alumni cordinater. He calls everyone that goes through the program and follows up with them with their approval. He just contacted me this week. Its nice to have a friend for life that you can share your stories of success. I had lost almost everything and Futures gave me a brand new life. This year I will be going back to colledge. I never dreamed I would be able to escape the terrible life I was living. Recently my Dad passed. He told me the night before he passed that he was going home and was tired. I was able to talk in length with him and he trusted me to take care of my mother. If it wasn\'t for Futures he would not have been able to die peacefully. He trusted me. Wow TRUST? That\'s a great thing to have back with my family. Some people say that you cant quit unless you want to. I was forced into treatment and just laying attention to what was being taught from dietary to chemical dependency I got sober. I\'m am happy now and don\'t have to take anything for my anxiety. Its an awesome life. I want to thank each and everyone who works at the treatment center for giving my life back. I stay in contact with several people I was in treatment with and am amazed how it worked for so many. If you have a problem with drugs, alcohol, or even an eating disorder give Futures a try. If you listen to what they teach and take advantage of what they offer you can discover how to live a great life without using. If I did it I know anyone can. Thanks Futures!
Ambrosia is by far one of the best treatment centers in South Florida. My parents came and toured prior to sending me here, and I am so glad that they did, because without them doing that I don't know where I would have been, it's a small intimate community, the therapy is by far the best therapy I have ever been able to get being down here form up north. Every single staff member takes their time to help you individually and meet your needs. I had as a therapist, and she was by far the best therapist I have ever had. in aftercare was also so helpful to every single need that i needed, right from when i got there to when i discharged, she is such a sweet and kind caring person. Everyone from the techs, to nursing was always there for me when I needed them. thank you
