Verify your coverageThe staff were unresponsive to family inquiries and requests for counseling and help. Patients who were in treatment with my loved one were hired right out of 30-45 day treatment with no experience in counseling other than being in rehab themselves repeatedly. My loved one came home with some tools to help with his recovery but had some very unhealthy viewpoints of what he should do moving forward in life. My loved one was confused and it appeared that he was given some very bad advice. They are very willing work with insurance and financial limitations. Staff. I am so disappointed in the counseling and the development of not appropriate relationships.
My mother called ARD when she found out I was using opiates. She was in tears and got such great information and compassion from the lady who answered the phone. When I spoke with her, she treated me with great respect. I had called other places but I was grossed out that they wanted me to recover in a hotel. Once we got to Michigan a nice driver picked us up and brought us to the hospital which was very clean. The intake process was very organized and the nurses and doctors were very informative and gave me and my mother a good overview of what to expect in the process. The detox under sedation is the best thing I could have done to get clean quickly. Because of the shot I have no cravings and I like that the staff keeps in touch with me and my mom. If it weren't for ARD, I would be dead. It's been the best year of my life because I decided to go to ARD.
Our family has been struggling with addiction for eight years. We have tried many different options. It was always a fight. We never felt hopeful with any of the treatments we were involved in. We have always tried finding a facility that my son's father felt comfortable in. This facility looked like the perfect place for him to start his treatment. I've heard of people feeling like a different person within a few days of attending. A facility like this can give a person a feeling of hope and self worth. I'm looking forward to a drug free life for him. Getting him a job and being a productive member of society. And doing all of the things we used to enjoy doing together.
