I’d like to share my story regarding my experience at Behavioral Rehabilitation Services. I was really pleased with the services and the level of care and help that I got at this rehab center. This was a truly helpful and wonderful addiction treatment center. I was amazed at how much help and how much care I got from going to this rehab center to beat addiction. It was a hardship and a crisis trying to effectively and permanently beat addiction once and for all, but I was finally able to do it with the help of Behavioral Rehabilitation Services. To make it clear, I’ll go over the three best things I noticed about this rehab center that I feel made a difference for me. They are: The detox approach. I’ve been to rehab before, so this was not my first rodeo by any means at all. With detox approaches I’ve been through in the past I’ve noticed that they are kind of rushed, and for some reason you always leave the detox still feeling like you are craving your fix. This was definitely the case when I had left other detox programs in the past, but not so much with Behavioral Rehabilitation Services. At Behavioral Rehabilitation Services, I got a long, lengthy, comfortable, well conducted detox program that took longer than two weeks. It was excellent, with massages, vitamins, exercise, walks, proper nutrition from their kitchen, physical therapy, the works. Talk about an excellent detox. The rehab approach itself. I really feel like I got a lot of individualized attention at Behavioral Rehabilitation Services, and that would probably be the one thing I would say out of literally everything that made this rehab center different. I was able to sit down with my case manager and work out together a customized, workable, and overall very helpful approach to addressing my addiction newly and effectively this time around. We added to my day to day schedule approaches that were working, and we subtracted ones that I did not like or that didn’t work. I was able to customize and tailor make my treatment approach with the help and advice of my case manager. The aftercare approach. Never have I ever been to a rehab center that kept tabs and continued to help me for so long after I graduated the program. It has been literally over a year since I graduated from Behavioral Rehabilitation Services and I still get a call from them once a week to check in on me and see how I’m doing. Also, right after I graduated, they were able to help me find an outpatient counseling and support group in my hometown. They looked into the center and qualified it for me. I’ve been going there for support sessions and counseling once a week since I graduated, and my counselor there is in touch with my case manager back at Behavioral Rehabilitation Services. These three points are very strong at Behavioral Rehabilitation Services. I honestly couldn’t say that there was anything wrong with the rehab program. At least, nothing that I can remember or that stands out. Really, the center seemed like a great program that was effective and workable for all who went there. I really would recommend this program strongly to anyone who was trying to beat addiction once and for all.
I went to BDR back in August of 2016. It was my first treatment and only treatment so far. The staff was great. My counselor was amazing. The food was good for the most part. It helped me take a look at myself and helped me figure out what lied deeper than the drug addiction. I've been clean for almost2 years now and I've never felt better in my life. I walked in there as a 26 year old kid who couldn't take care of himself. When I left treatment I went to a sober living house which now I manage it. I'm currently on my 12th step in the NA fellowship. I am so grateful for BDR and everything it had to offer. It gave me another chance at life.
