I LOVE Action Family Bakersfield!!! I have been employed by Action for almost 4 years. All the staff is like a big family, working together to help people and families effected by addiction. The program directors are incredibly intelligent and insightful. The facility managers go above and beyond to keep clients comfortable and important. The chef is a gift to all who consume his food, he caters to each individual\'s likes and dislikes when shopping and prepares delicious home cooked meals 3 times a day. 5 days a week. The counsellors are amazing and genuinely care about each client\'s recovery. I know that I would still be clean and sober without Action, 4 1/2 years and counting!!! If I was no longer an employee, I would continue to recommend friends and family members because they treat you as if you are!
Living in a permissive culture means that most people who have addictions don't quite understand how they developed, or how they can be stopped. Addiction treatment programs can provide a much-needed sense of perspective.
With this knowledge, you can make lasting changes that can help you to resist the lure of temptation and maintain your sobriety in the years to come.
A Personal DecisionIf your family has chosen a rehab facility for you, don't feel pressured to stick with that facility, no matter what. In fact, if there's something about the facility you don't like, you owe it to yourself to keep looking for the right fit. Addiction treatment is so important, and the decision really is up to you, so take your time and make sure you're comfortable.
