The center is very nice. The accommodations are pretty nice as well. My issues were with the Counselors and the scheduling. They most definitely need better counselors. Most of them are full of themselves and are set in their mind frames. Your point of view and thoughts do not matter to them. Once they have made up their mind about what they think you are doing or saying, there is nothing that you can say as a patient that will change that. I almost feel like, my thoughts were not even listened to. As far as the scheduling goes, it's just with the timings of events. You are never told when the meetings are, you just have to sit and wait for the tech to say, we are leaving in 30 minutes or so. You have to wait on that info to plan your events. Different houses seem to follow different routines as well. I heard a few other houses complain that they were not getting the same benefits that we were getting. BEWARE: The COUNSELORS TALK TO YOUR FAMILY WITHOUT TELLING YOU AND AT TIMES EVEN CONVINCE THEM TO PAY OUT OF POCKET WHEN INSURANCE REFUSES TO. At over $2K a day, that is a lot of money out of pocket.

Working for SOBA College Recovery has been an absolute delight. I have been able to excel in many areas I did not think possible for myself. The other staff here at College Recovery made this possible for me. My co-workers spend ample time building each other up and working as a team; setting beautiful examples for our clients here. To be able to help others in recovery find a new way of life is an opportunity that I am very thankful for. Our model is so much different than most current programs in this area. I see these young individuals actually grow into active members of society with the help of all of our clinical and housing staff. Whether it may be making their first resume or getting back into college (or going for the first time), talking with estranged family or regaining custody of their children, handling legal issues, finding new hobbies or career paths and simply stating clean in the process... Seabrook House
I was in the treatment facility almost two years ago. I completed and was doing great. Unfortunately I relapsed and was fortunate to get into the program again. Well I messed up and wasn't ready. So unfortunately for me I left. Now I am no longer allowed to seek treatment at Seabrook which is unfortunate for me. It's been almost two years. I would think I would have been forgiven. I'm a addict. But I reached out for help and was told no. I don't understand that. Isn't that what this facility is all about? Helping the addict work on getting clean. I'm killing myself and my mom. I'm lost with no help. I just want you to know I needed a chance and didn't think I would be banned because of a stupid decision on my part to leave. I just want you to know you could be a chance for someone to make it or die. Just wanted to let you know.
