Turning Point, Inc.

680 Broadway, Suite 104, Paterson, New Jersey, 07514
We show men and women struggling with addiction exactly what they need to do to become clean and sober, and how to stay on the road to recovery. Turning Point’s first substance abuse treatment program—a 10-bed residential program for men—began in March 1975. Since then, we have treated over 40,000 clients and have grown to offer a range of services for adults who are struggling with addiction. We provide exceptional treatment for clients with complex combinations of substance abuse and co-occurring mental illness.

Specialization

  • Family Program

Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.
  • Residential Treatment

Residential treatment programs provide housing (food and meals) in addition to treatment for substance abuse. Some facilities offer only short-term residential treatment, some offer only long-term treatment and others offer both, ranging from a few days to many months, based on patient needs.

The only thing this place is good for is to physically detox yourself. The food is horrible and you only see the outside 4 times a day for 15 minutes at a time. The counsellors didn\'t seem to care about each individual patient. They all seemed like they had too much work to be sincere to each person. They also don\'t clean very much and the beds are worse than hospital beds. If you are only looking to get off the drugs then go here. If you want to learn how to live your life after the drugs as well go somewhere else!
