Today I am 30 days sober, this is my 2nd time here at SPR I decided to come back here because this is my 2nd family people & the staff here are so amazing they help by listing to my stories no one judged me or made me feel uncomfortable. I feel like I belong here with my family I've learned a lot of coping skills, I learned to become more mindful with myself and how I look at things. I learned how to control my anxiety for my recovery, I learned what relapse prevention really means & and to apply it in my life so I do not relapse again. I now have confidence in myself again. It was my birthday on the 18th of march this year and I was able to have one of the best birthdays I've ever had and I did not need to be drunk to have a wonderful day. I will also be able to remember this forever. what I will have to work on out of SPR will be staying motivate so I don't get bored being flexible not setting my expectations to high and not to low to find my balance it is necessary for me to change I don't want to lie to myself anymore I thank God everyday because I know he is leading me in the right place. Thank you SPR for not giving up on me and helping me become me again .
Henry Ford Health System - Maplegrove Center
This is an excellent facility with caring staff. I was very sick when I entered and the staff acted with urgency to get me medication to feel better. I enjoyed the treatment classes as well as the yoga classes they offered. There is a nice area outside that you can go to during the day to collect your thoughts. I have sent two people I know there and they had the same positive experience as I did.
