i love victory bay, the staff here is amazing, they treat you with respect and truly care about your feelings.
I cannot fully express, in just words, my gratitude, appreciation and depth at which I was impressed with the quality of my entire treatment given by Ambrosia in Medford. I've been completed 10 inpatient prprograms in the last 6 years struggling with my addictions and not knowing why I was wanting recovery, yet not wanting it bad enough to maintain sobriety NO MATTER WHAT... I've been rarely impressed and/or having expectations met by clinical trwatment, staff and facility. My experience in September 2017 has left a genuine and "blown away" impression in me. The shear experiential knowledge of staff exceeded my already high expectations. The compassion and conviction for the 12 step program and desire to sincerely care for myself and other patients from Therapists to Behavioral Health Residency Staff truly changed my perceptions and understanding of what it means to be in recovery and how to implement principals in my life when teetering society. Ambrosia saw me (all patients) as an individual with specific needs pertaining to mind, body and soul. I was never treated like or got the impression as though I'm just another number to be treated according to some textbook. The very FIRST impressive action was up in arrival every staff member and client knew my name and all warmly greeted by name with their own introduction, smile, hug/handshake and offer of help in any way they possibly could. I wasn't just treated as an individual from the starting line, but also immediately embraced as a community member. Please trust me when I say that if there were any needs that were warranted, all involved went above and beyond in order to meet them and then some in large percentage of the time. Nothing from the bedrooms to meals were cookie cutter. Where else can you have staff that learns your wants/likes/dislikes and makes appropriate modifications to meet them? I.e. Listing favorite foods or meal and actually having it prepared at least weekly as an option, an all inclusive resort and Ambrosia Medford. Clinically, the therapists and group facilitators are not just preaching recovery- they live the principles and not just "work" the steps. They genuinely want the best for each client and don't preach at you, but converse with you. They also reference other programs or ways to implement some kind of other means that ate available. There's also holistic intertwined via meditation, yoga, chiropractic, religious or spiritual in addition to other methods. Its the total package. Ambrosia and staff want to show that there's ways to still feel alive and have fun as well. Weekends get family visitations, day passes, outings to movies, bowling, etc... They also allow to just let the clients enjoy free time. For example, Labor Day there was a BBQ and they listened to our suggestions for an old school Field Day with prizes included (paid for entirely by staff out of pocket) so we had events like three legged race, water balloon toss, egg race, etc... It was honest to god the first time I can remember having fun and a natural elation from laughing and just enjoying my time. Again, I can't give Ambrosia enough accolades and sum up my deepest appreciation. Since I've left they've kept in contact, checking in on how I'm doing and have alumni events to participate as well. If you or a loved one are seeking help, this place will give you the tools and hope.
In 2019, Sussex County, home to Lafayette, had over 1,500 residents enter treatment for a substance use disorder, according to the Department of Human Services. Of these people, 44% struggled with heroin addiction and cited it as their primary drug of use. Unfortunately, these numbers don’t include the residents who didn’t get treatment or never got the chance. With so many struggling with a substance use disorder, it’s important that residents understand their treatment options.
Everyone’s journey to recovery is different because everyone has unique treatment needs. Because of these differences, it’s important to carefully consider your options. To help people receive the right care throughout their recovery journey, there are several types of care and programs available.
Detox:Â Detoxification isn’t always necessary but can be an important first step in recovery for people who are physically dependent on alcohol or certain drugs. For those at risk of experiencing withdrawal symptoms, a facility that provides medical detox in Lafayette can help patients achieve a substance-free state as comfortably and safely as possible.
Inpatient: An inpatient drug rehab in Lafayette will have patients participate in a variety of activities and therapies, such as behavioral therapy, holistic therapy, support groups, and relapse education. A residential treatment program can take place for a few weeks or months at a time, although more long-term options are available as well. There may also be luxury rehabs near Lafayette for people interested in getting treatment in a more upscale environment.
Outpatient: An outpatient rehab in Lafayette or the surrounding areas will provide patients with care but patients don’t live at the facility and return to their homes in the evening. Outpatient programs range significantly in duration and intensity and may take place anywhere from several hours a day to 1-2 hours a week and will often include both individual and group therapy.
Specialty programs:Â Some treatment programs are tailored to the level of severity of the substance use disorder, but others are designed to help people with more specific needs. Some rehabs in the Lafayette area may have specialized programs in place such as dedicated support groups for specific communities or intensive mental health care. Be sure to talk with the facility you are interested in to see if they have any specialized programs that could be right for you.
Cost can make getting the care you need seem inaccessible. Fortunately, there are several ways to pay for treatment.
One way to cover the cost of treatment is by choosing a drug and alcohol rehab in Lafayette that is in-network with your insurance provider. If your insurance policy is accepted at the facility you choose, it could cover all or most of your treatment depending on the exact plan and the specific treatment program. You should talk with both your insurance provider and the treatment center to confirm the details.
Beyond health insurance, some Lafayette rehabs will charge people based on their income or offer financing options. Outside of working with the treatment center itself, some people will turn to friends, family, or other outside sources such as taking a loan or finding a scholarship.
There are also government-run treatment centers and charitable organizations that offer addiction treatment in Lafayette and the nearby area for free or at a reduced cost. These organizations tend to offer the same basic services as private facilities but may have some limitations. Saint Claire’s Health and Haley House are two such organizations that offer services to those struggling with substance use near Lafayette.
