Verify your coverageI was fortunate to receive alcohol treatment at RISF. I was even more fortunate to have had a therapist by who, I must admit, did not have an easy time convincing me that I needed treatment. It was difficult for me to admit I was and alcoholic and for me to realize that my life was out of control. She, through effective counseling and support helped me see that I, and I alone, was responsible for my addiction--another fact that I reluctantly came to admit. Not only did she not give up on me, and more importantly, did not give in to me, that I finally admitted to myself that I needed help. She and the rest of the staff was there to guide me, and I realized that my posse of bartenders did not do the trick. With the help of her and the rest of the staff, namely one other woman, did I come to realize that there was a better way to live my life. I am now about to complete 10 months sober, more months than I\'ve had in the last 50+ years. I now am enjoying my relationship with my wife, children, grandchildren, friends and the many new friends I have through AA meetings. I my own mind, I had to realize that I wanted what AA was freely giving and that the attitude adjustments suggested at RISF were the foundation for a better life. Thank you to my therapist, RISF, and all staff that made this possible. As I used to say to all departing clients when they were leaving RISF, I will not wish you good luck, because luck is not involved. Your were taught how to approach the future. You know what to do now, just do it. Let go, Let God THANKS
The therapists are superior. I have worked all over the world and have never experienced such a wonderful staff who are dedicated to the clients. The clients come first no matter what and the staff at amethyst is very approachable and it makes it easier for the clients to stay in recovery.
