Treatment Philosophy
Oxford Treatment Center is a 110 acre campus located within the Holly Springs National Forest. With a 5-acre lake, ducks, geese and beautiful undisturbed forest land, the rural setting at Oxford Treatment Center offers a tranquil healing environment. Our approach to addiction treatment is a holistic one, seeking to restore hope and health to individuals who come to us out of painful, self-destructive patterns. It’s not enough to end a physical dependency through successful medical detox. On the other side of that first step, the individual in recovery must have the right support in place to break those old habits and replace them with new ones. He or she must find a new way to fill the void that drugs or alcohol once did — essentially, find a new meaning in life. At Oxford Treatment Center, our team of dedicated professionals consists of a medical director, a board certified addictions psychiatrist, a board certified internist, and 6 board certified nurse practitioners. The most unique hallmark of our team of medical providers is an average of 8 year tenure at Oxford Treatment Center. The medical provider cohort is proud of the stability and commitment it provides to our patients.

Capstone Treatment Center

Our son graduated from Capstone in 2017. We've been back twice for continuing care and they are improving the program and facilities all the time. The founder, therapists and staff are all very professional, well trained, and they care deeply about the job they're doing and the families they serve. The staff to client ratio is as advertised. Safety is taken very seriously. We recommend it highly.

About Arkansas

Arkansas is home to a rich and unique culture, influenced by the state’s deep history and the blend of various ethnicities that have settled in the area over the years. Visitors to the state can enjoy a variety of attractions, such as the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville or the Hot Springs National Park.

In addition to its diverse geography and rich culture, Arkansas offers plenty of other wonderful things to experience. The state’s thriving food scene features local specialties like fried catfish, barbecue, and sweet tea. For history buffs, the state has a number of interesting historical sites, such as the Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site, which commemorates the Civil Rights Movement in Arkansas.

Additionally, the state hosts a number of festivals and events throughout the year, including the Arkansas State Fair and the World Championship Duck Calling Contest.

Addiction in Arkansas

Despite its many wonderful features, Arkansas is not immune to the ongoing substance misuse and addiction issues that plague much of the country. According to the National Survey of Substance Abuse Treatment Services, 4,464 Arkansas residents entered treatment for a substance use disorder in 2020 alone.1

From 2017 to 2019, around 175,000 Arkansas residents were affected by substance use disorder, which translates to an annual average prevalence of 7.0% of the state’s population. This figure is quite similar to the national average of 7.4%. 2

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there were 637 drug overdose fatalities in Arkansas in 2021.3 The following year, there were approximately 4,299 occurrences of Naloxone, an overdose reversal drug, being administered by responding medical personnel.4

In addition, Arkansas’s opioid dispensing rate in 2020 was 82.59 per 100 people, indicating that almost 83 opioid prescriptions were dispensed for every 100 individuals. Despite a reduction in this figure over the last few years, Arkansas still surpasses the Centers for Disease Control’s national average rate of 43.3 per 100 in 2020 by nearly double.5

Addiction Treatment in Arkansas

If you are struggling with a substance use disorder, it is imperative that you seek help. Fortunately, Arkansas is home to many excellent drug and alcohol treatment centers that offer various levels of care. These levels of treatment include:

  • Detox: Detox is the initial step of addiction treatment, which assists in the safe withdrawal from substances under medical supervision. Medication-assisted treatment may be used during detox to minimize uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms and side effects.
  • Inpatient Treatment: Inpatient treatment involves staying in a residential facility while receiving intensive therapy and clinical support. These programs provide a structured environment with minimal distractions so that recovery remains the sole focus.
  • Outpatient Treatment: Outpatient treatment is less intensive, allowing individuals to receive treatment while continuing to live at home or within a sober living environment. Due to the independence these programs provide, it is recommended that outpatient treatment be reserved for cases of mild addiction, or as a step-down from more intensive treatment.

Within all treatment programs, various therapies are offered, such as behavioral therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. Treatment plans are created on a case-by-case basis, allowing you to design a plan that meets your specific treatment needs.

Additional options include luxury rehabs and privately funded rehabs. Luxury rehabs provide high-end accommodations and amenities for those seeking a more comfortable and private setting. Privately funded rehabs which offer exclusive and personalized treatment programs and are paid for by private insurance or out-of-pocket payments.

When seeking a drug and alcohol rehab in Arkansas, you can use an online search tool to find addiction treatment near you. This tool can help you find a suitable rehab center based on your specific needs and preferences, such as location and types of treatment offered.

How Much Does Rehab Cost?

If you’re wondering how to pay for rehab, there are various ways to ensure you receive the help you need. Insurance coverage for addiction treatment can vary depending on the policy, but many insurance plans do cover at least some of the cost of treatment. If you have insurance, you can contact your insurance provider to find out what addiction treatment services are covered under your policy.

However, if you are uninsured, there are still options available for accessing addiction treatment. One option is to look into state-funded treatment centers. These centers receive funding from the government to provide addiction treatment to individuals who cannot afford to pay for it on their own. State-funded treatment centers may also offer a range of services, including detoxification, residential treatment, and outpatient treatment, depending on the center.

Regardless of your method of payment, it’s important to explore all options and find a treatment program that meets your unique needs and financial situation.

Length of Stay in Rehab

When determining the appropriate duration of a treatment program, it’s crucial to consider the length of stay as it can significantly affect its effectiveness. It’s highly suggested that you consult with a healthcare provider or addiction specialist to identify the ideal duration for your specific needs. Typically, treatment programs vary from 30-day, 60-day, to 90-day stays.

The duration of long-term rehab can differ based on several factors, such as your treatment requirements, the treatment center, and the program’s specifics. It can last for 6 months to 2 years, or even longer.

Recovery Starts Today

Achieving a successful recovery from addiction is greatly dependent on finding treatment that meets your specific needs. It’s important to remember that addiction is a condition that can be treated, and with the right support, you can make positive changes and live a satisfying, healthy, and sober life. Therefore, it’s essential to seek help and take the first step towards a brighter future today.
