About Harbor House Inc. Corporate Office

Since 1966, Harbor House has been providing men with residential substance abuse treatment and hope for a new life. The gender-specific rehab takes a holistic approach to treatment by treating mind, body, and spirit. Evidenced-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) are combined with the 12-step recovery principles to give clients a range of coping skills and techniques to keep them sober. At the end of treatment, Harbor Recovery’s hope is that each client will be restored to his best self, and experience a higher quality of life than before entering treatment.

Employs mostly people who were addicts. Small facility with limited resources . We used it because it was close to home. It was an hour away, while other treatment facilities were over two hours away

This is a decent facility. They are government based, ran and operated by recovering addicts. They are based off a twelve step program and use those steps and recovery stories for clients. At the time I was there some of the staff could use some more training in professionalism.

They have all had experience with recovery. Way understaffed. It would be much better with more staff members.

The residential treatment and transitional living experience in addition to counselor's encouragement to make better decisions on a consistent basis by working a 12 step program empowered me to start a journey in recovery.
