To whom it may concern, SJRP changed my life with the infinite amount of love and patience they offered to me. The variety of food and activities made me excited for each day that came along. Activities included the gym, equine therapy, horse back riding, NIT/VAT therapy ( which is amazing!!!), painting and reading, meditation, group and one on one therapy sessions. Extra activities include park excursions, kayaking, visiting springs, and the beach. All the staff ranging from the Director of Operations down to the Custodians are there to provide tender loving care for the betterment of each client. I speak from personal experience and this is why I am so grateful for the opportunity to attend Saint Johns Recovery Place.
My case manager Veronica was awesome, everything she said she was going to do was done by the end of the day. She was on top of things. My therapist Ian was great he helped me a lot. My favorite therapist who taught classes was Dimitrius, he commanded the respect. The whole staff was great. The interactions between the therapists and clients were very educational and to hear other peoples stories gave me hope. I spent a lot of time out at the basketball court and playing volley ball. That really grounded me. Overall the food was really good. The rooms were nice and the beds were awesome. It was clean and well taken care of. I went to the NA meetings here. They have a full gym. It was very educational learning how the brain works. It was a god experience, I definitely enjoyed it. Don't be afraid to let it all out, when you share what you're going through it takes away the shame of holding it in. Every story makes it easier. You're not judged by anybody here because were all going through something similar, the community was encouraging and I would recommend for anyone needing treatment.
