The Watershed — Palm Beaches
I was a patient at the Watershed 3 times in my early 20s. During my recovery process I spent a couple weeks at the detox center in Boyton Beach. The Facility is clean, comfortable and a majority of the staff are recovering addicts. This was nice because I could relate well to them. The remainder of my stay was spent in Lake Worth at a renovated motel that was made into a recovery community. They bus you every morning to classes that are located at a different location in Boyton Beach. Overall the classes were beneficial, a little repetitive but overall very helpful. They introduce you back into the “ real world”over a period of 1-2 months. They also provide halfway and sober living houses if you decide to extend your stay in Florida. I have been sober going on 4 years and the Watershed helped stear me in the righ direction. I am very thankful to have been blessed with the opportunity to be a patient here. I would recommend this place to anyone trying to start a life free from the chains of addiction.
River Oaks Treatment Center
My therapist Karah is amazing. She was always there. I got some bad news from home and was ready to walk out and leave, but Karah was able to help me and calm me down. Amy really gets you engaged in her classes. TA's Tanya and Stacey are so helpful. I ordered some pants online and I found out they had a big hole in them and Tanya helped sew them for me! She always has a smile and you can tell she loves her job. She always helped answer my questions. Stacey has a great personality and always helps, she advocated for me when I felt triggered. Karah's DBT groups gave us activities to do every week and I loved doing them. I built so many long lasting friendships with people that understand me. I learned a lot about setting boundaries. I've always struggled with boundaries and I learned how to be more firm and use my tools. The showers in the rooms are amazing! The beds are so comfortable, I would take them home with me if I could. The water stays hot and they have great water pressure!
