Addiction Treatment Services - Phoenix Hall

Many of us graduated with a new, hopeful chance at life-once we were able to return to mindful thinking and realities and coping...It changed my life. I need retraining now because because of mental health issues. I need the repetitiveness of ADLs and new habits, along with a medicine reevaluation so I can continue on.

A Forever Recovery

This place is a good place in ovet all, very good service in terms of helping you come off the drug or alcohol. It is not very nice and old, but the program itself work. In all honesty it is not very nice again just saying, so don\'t be surpised, but the point I am trying to make is that it is not the most important part of the program, after as that goes, it does have an advantage that you are still away from your usual triggers and peers who would agree with you to do drugs and so on, and it is ina a quiet area, so you will at least be in a quietnice surrounding. It is next to a lake and you can really relax and forget your day to day life, which in itself has a huge therapeutic value. When you first get there you go to the detox, you go there till you take your last dose and than they move you to a different room. Than you see you do your program, that is set up with a counselor, so you go over your issues, why you are there, what do you want to get out of the program, what things do you need fixing with, weak points and so on. You than go to group meetings and also one on one counselings too. The good thing here too is that there are different tracks that you can choose like faith based and sekf help and what not, so they do not force you go read the bible or whatever if you are really not religious, and those who are they also have their peogram, so eveyone is happy, but they still get the same benefits, it is just a differetn approach to reach the same goal. Than there are these alternative classes or methids, whatever tzey are called, like music therapy and arts and so on. There is also a room where you can work out, and get fit, and or you can go out and do some exercise, there are also group exercises, this I liked a lot, I prefer to work out in a group. There is even a cooking class, I personally did not go, but some others did and it was apparently very useful. But what did it to me was really to see where did my addiction came from in the first place and to really deal with thise things in life, and learned how to deal with them. I also realized many things, many things I wanted to changed and I did change. What is great too is that you learn to recognize thise things people that make you wanna use, or situations that would drive you back all the way again into the same situation, and if you already know what it is it is much easier to handle it. Honestly it was very hard, of course was hard, atvthe beginning, I was scraping the wall from the pain, but it was for the good cause because now I can say I am off drugs and I am clean! Finally clean! All this I would have not been able to achieve without the help feom the amazing staff at afr!
