Good structured day. Very good food. Some staff can't relate to mental issues, kick people out that tested negative for drugs while in the inpatient facility but test positive for nicotine. Kicked heroin addicts right back out into the street for smoking a cigarette! It was a very good inpatient facility but changed through the years. The last time I had any contact with them it had changed and not for the good! Staff was totally different from my experience with them Addicts are already stressed, scared and unsure about everything and the counselors and administrative staff do not understand this. That's what I found out the second time I was in this inpatient facility. It really was an awesome facility when I graduated. The second time it did a complete turnaround. Not being able to smoke cigarettes after trying to give up everything else is very hard. One time of testing positive for nicotine and you are booted out into the streets! They put me on prednisone which made me a raving lunatic! Being a smoker for twenty some years I had to smoke a cigarette. Ended up they went down a line and had each person rat on another for smoking, NOT using any drugs or alcohol mind you, smoking cigarettes and kicked many out for that alone! I myself had been there for a month and a half almost 2 months and kicked out to the streets, back to drug use! Thanks Women's Recovery Center! You need to turn back time and be the way you were when I graduated and did good for quite a while!
A good facility but needs to improve holistic offerings, price and counseling options. The 12-step program was excellent.
Seeing to the patients well being was one of the better parts. The group sessions were most helpful.
