Staff cared a lot about me and my peers. They were organized and knew what they were doing in terms of a treatment plan for me. They were able to put me in a good direction so when I got out I knew how to function more in society. Their spiritual guider was not religious nor pressed religion on anyone which was so helpful for me to be free in that area. They follow the 12 step program very well. A weakness is that it was expensive. I had such an amazing 3 months at the Knox house. Though it wasn't the easiest thing I've ever done it was the best thing. I listened to all of my case managers suggestions and she lead in in the right direction. They had a beautiful sense of community. They always brought love into everything. They definitely loved me until I could begin to love myself. I went in to their sober living which in now called connections. There I was still able to keep incomact with my case manager who helped me with any problem I had. Truly blessed to have gone to safe harbor.
Very compassionate therapists. Lots of art and meditation therapies. Very little 12 step practices, but constant access to 12 step meetings. EMDR is AMAZING! Sometimes the staff seems a bit disorganized. Perfect place for people in their 20's or 30's that want to be in a very hip environment.
