This place saved my life. I’d be dead off it wasn’t for River Oaks. The staff here showed compassion and I would definitely recommend it to anyone suffering from mental health or addiction. TA’s Shane and Mattie really helped me. James the Therapist taught me a lot about Border Line Personality Disorder. Karah my therapist helped me through a lot of my problems. The kitchen staff were amazing, they served us with a smile and made delicious meals. Nurse Risha really helped me handle my medications and getting in Suboxone maintenance. The facility was awesome, it was like the Hilton of rehabs. It has beautiful grounds. TA Walt really helped talk to me about my moms brain cancer and really took his time to show he cared. The clients and the fellowship here were awesome. The business office and administration were great. Luther in Human Resources was so helpful and also Kristin the program manager and Jason in the business office. Also the people in transportation who picked me up from the airport were so kind because I was in a really dark place at the time and they showed compassion. Overall I would recommend this to anybody suffering from addiction.
Great program. The staff helped me so much. The techs are all in recovery and they are very personable. They were always there to talk to me and give me advice when I was struggling. When there were a lot of people in there, you had to wait a while for your meds but I feel like that happens at a lot of centers. It happened at another one I went to too.
The atmosphere at Sjrp is very therapeutic and recovery oriented. The staff really go above and beyond and everyone seems genuinely happy to be there. You can tell they enjoy what they do, which made me feel very comfortable. The facility is very clean. I would highly recommend Sjrp to anyone (friend or family) struggling with addiction and looking to get their life back on track.
