The treatment here is effective, they did however lose a bag containing my laptop, birth certificate, and a flash-drive containing digital forms of my ID and Social Security Card. An entire suitcase of clothes was also “missing” after my discharge.

I have discovered something in my time at Blue Ridge, the staff, including myself, care very deeply about each and every client. We have a housekeeping staff, and a kitchen staff, but they do not just clean and cook, even they speak with the clients and show them the love they deserve. I arrived at Penfield in December 1988 just before Christmas and the desire to drink or use any mind altering chemicals were removed. I believe the lord led me there. Ken Klun checked me in, Jim Vogt was the director and was on vacation. Not a doubt in my mind then or now God led me to Penfield Christian Home in Union Point, GA, a place where you could connect with your inner most self. I love this place and carried everything that was taught with me and still think of everyone that the Lord placed in my path. Still clean and sober after all these years and if I can do it, ( old crackhead) there is no excuse you can’t do it along with AA and the good Lord!
