If you're currently at wit's end with your (or your loved one's) struggle with addiction, with trauma, with complete emptiness and brokenness, I would encourage you to allow Origins Behavioral Healthcare to be your answer to a miraculous path to healing-- to life. I'm writing this as someone who knows first-hand. Through the program at this facility, I found myself. I found that sanity, harmony, balance is not only a possibility for me, but a REALITY for me. At Origins, I learned the tools that would equip me to no longer be enslaved by addiction or circumstance, and I learned how to be the person that my soul and my purpose calls me to be; Yes. It IS possible! There CAN be restoration, healing, and JOY that happens within yourself and in your relationships with family, friends, co-workers, and even strangers... Origins has shown me this, and because of it, I am overjoyed and honored to say that this healing is the reality of my life and the life of my loved ones today. There IS hope, and my journey at Origins was the start to letting hope flow through me and the lives of those around me.
I came to Greenhouse with my husband under a myriad of lies. This was a choice for both of us but especially me. We were told we would not be able to room together or show public displays of affection but otherwise be able to communicate and have couples counsels as well as individual. None of this is true. However after advocating with Maggie we have had 2 excellent sessions. Having had therapy for years, this facility is lucky to have her. I, however, have Jacquelyn who is ineffective at best both in the 1 time I have seen her in 2 weeks alone and the train wreck that is process group. The next issue I would address is Keisha. it is wholly inappropriate to hear her constant screaming and belittling of the TA staff through the walkie talkies. The patients knowing she has a quota of patients she wants the TA's to Red zone a day is insane. That we live in constant fear of her. That her staff are leaving who are amazing and taking significantly lower paying jobs to end the abuse from her is beyond comprehension. As an executive (which I have been for decades with hundreds of direct reports )I do not understand this behavior. Many of us, like myself included, have never been involved with the law and made a choice to better our lives. I am not here to be treated like a prisoner. I am here as a human. A human who Covid has effected in an adverse way. I have rated this facility a 2. Because while many of the teachers and counselors are outstanding as well as the TA's , the treatment is often akin to being a prisoner. The women's leader Donna on the weekends is horrific. She is ill prepared to lead groups. She is also nasty and vindictive. She went after a particular patient who did absolutely nothing to her. We dread weekends because her classes are boring, useless, often about herself, poorly set up, ill prepared etc. We should not have to endure 6 classes with her over the weekend. Additionally, to take the word of her over an entire class is ludicrous in making literally life or death decisions of patients here. I would like also to review the gender equality issues at the facility which are not acceptable. Men and women are treated in extremely inequitable ways, especially in dress codes.. Women's breasts and shoulders should never be spoken about in a derogatory fashion. Or in front of other patients. I witnessed one patient being called out for her "boobies being too jiggly" in front of several other patients as a man walked by with his pants below his rear end and his underwear hanging out with zero comment. Or men with no shirts playing waffle ball and basketball with no shirts but women with full bathing suits on their day in the same area being told men can't handle it and the would be "Red Zoned if they did it. Women wearing full length maxi dresses that would be accessible in any 5 star restaurant are not accceptable but men with tank tops that are cut out to the hem and can be seen through to the other side are. Donna needs to be fired. Keisha needs to be fired. Keith and your TA staff are outstanding Minus Sonya, who thinks Men have the right to be naked and " Men are just men and women need to be modest so they "don't have wicked thoughts" as was said directly to me by her. Women's bodies do not cause men to do inappropriate things and to promote rape culture here as she and Keisha and this facility does is horrific. Additionally, Donna should not be teaching or TAing in this environment. She has created a hostile environment with the women that will not easily be repaired and is not an effective teacher. Thank you for listening to my review
