I don't feel the facility had a complete understanding of the depth of my situation. I was allowed to not participate, I was able to leave the group and cry alone in an empty room, unnoticed. No attempt was made to get to the root of my depression. I felt others had more significant issues. Strengths: Small groups, relaxed, peaceful atmosphere. Weaknesses: Patients not closely monitored enough.
The nurses in this hospital are top notch. I am particularly referring to the day surgery pavilion pre-op and recovery. I never wanted to anything from making sure I am comfortable, feel at ease about the upcoming procedure to keeping me comfortable afterwards to release. Particular day/time was March 2 from 12:30pm-7pm. Accolades to all and a huge thank you!
I loved Gateway! I went in with many problems as well as my addiction. They were all addressed well. The cafeteria met our dietary needs, the structure was great, my counselor was amazing, as was all counselors. I would def recommend going here, and if ever the time arises that I need additional help, this will be my first choice! The women are in same building at adolescent girls, though separated, we share the same staff and most were preoccupied with the needs of the younger girls.
