Dr. Mark Harris joins Bracebridge Hall with over 20 years of experience in family and addiction medicine. After earning his Doctor of Osteopathic medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed a Family Medicine residency at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware. Dr. Harris is Board Certified in Family Medicine, and has practiced as a family care physician and addiction treatment professional throughout the mid-Atlantic area region for the last 20 years.

Sherry joined the medical team at The Freedom Center in September 2018 as the centers Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Philosophy with a concentration in Nursing. Prior to working with The Freedom Center, Sherry spent years working in addiction treatment and has a professional military education and worked at the Air Force Medical Operations Center. As the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Sherry works with the clients to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medications to dual diagnosis clients in the intensive outpatient program and aftercare groups. In addition, she manages Vivitrol clients and works with The Freedom Center team on the management of clients’ medical issues related to addiction.

Catherine, BSN has been a Registered Nurse for the last 8 years. As a second career, and with a prior Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University, she obtained an Associate’s degree in nursing in 2011 and began her career in the Emergency Department. In 2017 she obtained her BSN, while still continuing as an ER nurse. It was during her time as an ER nurse that she often experienced with patients and families the devastating effects of substance abuse. This compelled her to accept a floor nurse position with the Maryland Center for Addiction treatment in March of 2018 when it opened it’s doors. Within 3 months Catherine shifted from an occasional floor nurse at MCAT and full-time ER nurse, to a full-time RN Case Manager at MCAT and an occasional ER floor nurse. In July of 2019, Catherine accepted the Director of Nursing position at MCAT, and truly feels that she has found her nursing niche in substance abuse treatment and nursing management. She is currently looking forward to graduating in December 2020 with her Master’s of Science in Nursing to become a family nurse practitioner.
