Verify your coverageAt first, I hated this place. My therapist left and I got reassigned to a new one who was not on the level (bless her heart, I hope she's doing well now). My insurance dropped me halfway through, and when I called my provider, they told me they weren't receiving documents from the center. Then I dropped a dirty UA after coming coming back from an outside meeting (without having used, in any form at all), and the clinical director decided to not 'complete' my treatment. Also, they took the rock out thing away, which I was sore about for a little while (knowing I was being super petty). However, they did allow me to go to IOP after that fiasco, and I completed that. It was cool to have some extra accountability, and to finally fully complete something. During PHP, they took us to outside meetings, which was fantastic. I met a man who took me through a book and helped me find god behind paradise house (not flakes house, shameless plug). Being in this structured environment with an amazing case manager's assistance with FMLA leave from work was a huge help. They kept me separated from substances long enough to have an experience and a personality change. For that I am extremely grateful. I have since been engaged in hospitals and institutions work (for fun and for free) all across the country, and this place that I once hated for imagined slights, I now see is of a much higher caliber than all of the others I've been to. I consider myself lucky for having been here, and would suggest Pinnacle if a man were jittery or begged and required a definite hospital stay. 📘🛐
I\'m probably the only person you should trust with a review of Sierra Tucson. It was such a great experience and even though it\'s very pricey, it\'s well worth the money. I was fortunate enough to have my insurance cover 100% of my 37 day stay. I\'m a 25 year old female and the only downside of it was the requirements for wardrobe. Everything you wear must be conservative. No shorts, tanks or leggings. Basically my whole wardrobe and girls must wear one piece speedos in the pool but besides that, the staff, facility and treatment which I received was top notch. Take it from someone who has been to copious amounts of rehabs, ST was my final stop and it saved my life. The scenery is beautiful and the activities are fun and treatment based. I\'m also a smoker so if your wondering how that works, there is what they call a \"butt hut\" which is designated for you to smoke away in whenever you feel the need to. Let me give you a quick pointer. Be your own advocate when it comes to making appointments. If you want to book a massage, make sure you do it days in advance. Also, take advantage of the state of the art treatments they have like EMDR and DBT. You need to make appointments for those as well and you do that with your primary counselor. If you slack on making appointments, you\'ll have a lot of down time. I saw my psychiatrist about once a week and if I needed her for something between scheduled visits she was happy to squeeze me in. Family week was the best part. It literally saved my family and helped me heal in so many ways I can\'t explain. If you run out of toiletries or need something that you didn\'t bring, ST has an on site store which carries really nice branded shampoos and good books and they also have some really pretty jewelry which I keep on me to this very day. The people there are nice, I met some friends. At the same time, some people are jerks and there\'s the occasional nutcase. Overall, this was the best treatment center I\'ve been to and it was the last. I went there about three years ago to the day and now my boyfriend is going next week. I hope this comment helps some of you and I hope you make the life changing decision to attend. It\'s more of like a therapeutic spa rehab than a scrub the floors with your toothbrush place. I wish I could spend one month a year there for a yearly tune up. It really was that great. It\'s mostly people in their early 20s to late 50s but I\'d say it\'s more younger people than older. Anyway- best place ever. Oh, and I went there to treat addiction as well as severe depression and anxiety.
