Verify your coverageI had the opportunity to stay at RISF this past fall because of my alcoholism. I never thought I had a problem until I was sat down by family, close friends, and coworkers. I always drank to get drunk and for years it was only on the weekends, but then with job stress it turned into everyday and I built up quite the tolerance. I had to go into detox upon arrival- I was kept comfortable until I was moved over to the facility for my treatment. I had a wonderful and nurturing relationship with therapists, gained weight back with help from an actual nutritionist , and was able to take time to do things sober and one day at a time. We went to the beach and LA fitness, did art therapy and yoga. It was truly good for the soul, and I\'ll be forever grateful. I am almost 5 months clean and sober.
Best decision Ive made was to go to recovery first for treatment. Highly professional, Caring and understanding stafff at residential! is a life saver therapist! He truly cares about you and tells it like it is! Also, always looked forward to the days we got to see!! (And hear about alumni of course!) =) Overall, very pleased with my experience at Recovery First! #47daysSober. Excellent Residential, Alumni, Therapy and Nursing Staff! Every one of them were great to work with! Business Office Staff is rather unprofessional. Did not communicate well if you had questions. Seemed like they liked to keep you in the dark and became agitated when asked questions. Very frustrating for someone who has never been through treatment before. The rest of the staff makes up for their weakness.
Ambrosia has a friendly staff, and the facility is beautiful.
