David Dorschu, MS, has over eighteen years of experience in the substance abuse field, serving in various leadership positions which incorporate the entire continuum of care, including Clinical Director, Risk Management Director, QA Director, Outpatient Program Director, and currently as Chief Executive Officer of the RCA at Raritan Bay facility. David began his tenure at RCA in 2016 as CEO of the Lighthouse, a 133-bed facility located in Mays Landing, NJ. David has utilized these various leadership roles to form a treatment philosophy based on the latest, empirically supported research. “The patients we are so fortunate to serve have provided to us a tremendous gift: the willingness to share their pain and offer us a glimpse into their brokenness. Shannon has a Master's degree from the University of Texas San Antonio in social work with an emphasis in addiction counseling. She is experienced in leading and directing substance use disorder treatment facilities. Her undergraduate degree is in Business Management from Azusa Pacific University. She works closely with Clinical staff to provide Evidence Based Practice models to address co-occuring disorders. As the wife of a police officer and military veteran, Shannon takes a special interest in trauma resolution. Shannon uses an integrative approach with patients and their families. Strengths-Based Practice is used where the inherent strengths of a person or family are assessed and built upon to aid in recovery and empowerment. This perspective along with Family Systems Theory and Ecological Theory emphasize that environmental factors play a part in development. She believes that a holistic approach to recovery is necessary for growth of the individual. Additionally, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, EDMR and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy are tools that she uses in her practice to be culturally competent to work with a diverse group of clients.

Growing up in South Jersey, she was surrounded by a loving family who provided her with a great education and significant morals. During her late teens, Katie slowly fell into her personal struggles with substance abuse. Entering her first treatment center at nineteen years old, she was determined to discover who she really was. But it took time. At twenty-three, Katie finally surrendered to her battle with substance abuse. She is now committed to her recovery, shares her journey within others, and lives her life with purpose and integrity. As a young girl, Katie dreamed that one day she would find her purpose to help change the world; she started that journey as a Chemical Dependency Technician at a local detox. She next began her quest for her CADC license to become a Substance Abuse Counselor and recently came on board at Victory Bay as a CADC Intern. She is dedicated, driven, and feels truly blessed to help others struggling with addiction to find their purpose in the world.
