I came to STR after a 24 day stay at a rehab. I was so nervous & didnt want to be the "new" kid again. From the time I got picked up until the day I left I had such a GREAT experience. I looked for EVERY reason to leave the 1st week or two,but when it was time for me to leave I didnt want to leave. The staff actually cares about you & puts in effort to actually help you. Some places only see you for $ and not an actual person who is fighting for their life! STR helped save my life. And give my family back their lives. Thank you STR! 💚
My time at Water Gap Wellness was life changing. I had daily access to medical attention from Dr and regular individual sessions with my therapist. I was able to work through so much, and I feel the best I ever have about my future! If they would let me, I would stay at Water Gap forever. The food is great with variety and vegetarian options. The bedrooms are huge and come with big TV's and Hulu, Amazon Prime, and fast internet. There are lots of living room areas to lounge or watch a movie with others, and right out the back door is the golf course and the most incredible sunsets you can imagine...and the Appalachian Trail is literally right next door too. In every way, Water Gap Wellness really is exceptional.
I was a client at avenues for 6 months. I found it to be professionally run by caring people. Right now I have 1 year clean with more to go.my counselor was crummy but all the others were good, don't worry he has since left.the living arrangements were fine and the food they provided was sufficient. You cooked for yourself. When the young guys cooked you got hot dogs and burgers .when the older ones cooked you ate salmon, pork shoulders, pork chops etc. It was hit or miss but never bad. Plus you could make what you wanted. The patient techs were good and helpful. One in particular pat would literally go to the ends of the earth to help you. Gotta love the guys genuiness and caring demeanor. The housing manager devin was really good also. Sadly I've been in quite a few rehabs and I would rate avenues an 8 out of 10. I would recommend it to family and friends. I learned alot there which helps me now.you can only get better coming here. Jamie lorber
