The cravings are totally gone, naturally, and there is no interest. They have a different lifestyle and understanding of life altogether, and I think that is fantastic! There is also a simpler program called "First Step" if one cannot go to a facility. Drug free. My brother went to 2 famous rehabs for heavy drugs and is still an alcoholic, only now he makes a lot of money and doesn't cause trouble so nobody cares.

I think less is more. Too many participants, too many children coming on day 1 with Mom. Now DMH has it turned into a 6-9 month long cattle shute! I liked it better before when DMH allowed counselors to be healers and listeners rather than typists and disciplinarians
