I recently stayed at the Freedom Center for inpatient treatment. Although the building is very old and there were issues needing repair, ( Minimal hot water to shower, food hoarding, and cold temperatures) I would go back again if I felt as though I was heading towards a relapse. There were a lot of staff changes during my stay, however the counselors and PA`s that were there genuinely care about the clients and do their best to make it a comfortable environment with what they have. I read previous reviews and I truly believe that if you want to be well, nothing will block your path! The food was typically pretty bad, but plentiful, it was cold especially with the air conditioners still in when it was 30 outside and the baseboard heat wasn\'t functioning, phone times are scarce, but you have to plan ahead and take care of things before you go or work with your counselor.

I have been to turning point a number of times. Yes there are rules on phone calls and regulations but that is life and part of the recovery process. I do not believe that short term and long term should be housed together but it has worked for years for the center. I also do not believe anyone should comment if they did not stay for the whole treatment..for the didn\'t experience all it had to offer. They had fun fridays, hiking, volleyball, and team building. Definitely a good place to start the recovery journey if not still in addict mode and having to deal with \"rules\".

I did the detox there I have to say the building it\'s self was old and over populated. They ran out of room in the men\'s building and ended up moving a large amount to of them to sleep in the detox unit. That was upsetting considering it wasnt fair to the people waiting to get a bed to detox. I the. Did the rehab in patent and they took me to freedom house. It was very homey feeling . but they had the longterm and the sort term people staying in the same house but there was alotnof favoritism with the long term girls. It made feel like I was not good enough. I hated the phone times they only have u ten minutes every other day and that if u didn\'t have a meeting to go to. I then left on mothers day when they wouldn\'t let mW call my children but had allowed another girl to call her mother three times. Well I felt it was unprofessional and uncalled for... They preach humility and kindness but they show that its only when u conform to what they want u to be.... I will never go back again.
