Dual DiagnosisAt C.A.R.E. we believe in treating the whole individual. Many treatment centers do not specialize in dual diagnosis or co-existing disorder, but our therapists and addiction treatment specialists recognize the existence of a co-existing disorder and define an entire treatment program around dual diagnosis patients attacking the mental disorder itself as well as the addiction. C.A.R.E.'s multi-disciplinary team will help you address each of these areas as our specialists work with you to identify the underlying causes of your problem.
Compulsive Gambling ProgramThe compulsive gambling program at C.A.R.E. recognizes the seriousness of gambling addiction. This unique program allows our patients to experience and practice important life skills needed to achieve and maintain a healthy and responsible lifestyle.
Meet the Staff
- RexGreeting SpecialistRex, a noble "Golden-No-Can-Tell", is the resident pet therapy and drug detection dog. Rescued from the pound in 2001 by a graduate of the C.A.R.E. program who is a professional dog trainer, Rex is used to detect illicit drugs in the programs and offices. Not satisfied with his position as an agency policeman, his wagging tail and good disposition quickly won his way into the hearts of staff and patients. He now doubles as a therapy dog helping patients deal non-verbally with anxiety and other emotions. When you come to C.A.R.E., it is most likely that he will be there to welcome you at the door.
