New Beginnings Minnesota at Waverly
I gratefully got to stay @ the woman's' lodge out in the country. The mens' facility is right on the lake. I appreciated that I never felt "locked up." All of the staff were pretty genuine to all of us. Lastly, the food was amazing! 1st day with counselor..."Fact: You will gain some weight & you will look 10 times healthier when you do!" She was right. The facilities are awesome! The road trips to NA/AA meetings were a great experience. There was a variety of things mixed into the daily routine/schedule.

Caring, small treatment center. Very high staff to client ratio. Staff goes above and beyond to help clients with all issues. Staff understands trauma and co-occurring issues.

Smaller facility doable to focus on clients they have. Other facilities are larger and seemed to have 1 or two that slipped through the cracks could have more visiting time once mid week would have been nice. Right now was only one day out of the entire week which is very long when are away from children/family I owe my life to this place! They tapped into the core of my addiction. Treat the cause. Every person there taught me something. All women environment made it easier to share and be open & honest.
