This is a very unconventional facility whereas the staff have all gone thru the program and now are being peer mentors. It is a 12 step program where you have more privileges given once you pass each step. They make the person write "essays" daily on what they learned in their daily AA/NA meeting. Since the person has not followed rules they also write essays if they break a rule in the household. Each of the 12 steps take about a month to get through. After you get thru step 8 you are allowed to get a job, a phone, and a vehicle to get to work (which is required).
