    Sojourn House

    Rigid schedule . Too far from home to be able to visit regularly on the scheduled visit days once a week. Son was court ordered to go to Sojourn House for treatment. We were pleased with the staff there. Things were explained to us well.

    Will County Substance Use Initiative

    Treatment was good - Administration stink. Works well with the court system. Some staff would work on leisure activities and meditation. Weaknesses were well water, mold, dirty.....

Karen was the recipient of the 2018 Dr. C. Vincent Bakeman Memorial Award presented by the Illinois Association for Behavioral Health for her work in connecting patients to treatment and improving the system of care for persons struggling with Substance Use Disorder. Karen serves on the Board of Directors of the Lake County Opioid Initiative and Live4Lali. She worked on the core team of Task Force members in the development and launch of the nationally recognized A Way Out Program, a law enforcement deflection program for persons seeking Substance Use Disorder treatment. Dr. Cunnar is actively involved within the greater community of family physicians on both the national and state level. Dr. Cunnar resides in Aurora.
