Addiction Recovery Care Association, Inc.

The only area thing I would change is the length of the program. It's a two week program with an additional week if detox is needed. It's just not long enough for an entrenched addict. I think they have a great little program with wonderful staff. It's just too short.

Walter B. Jones Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Center

I think they were an excellent facility. I wish my daughter had stayed longer. She left before her time was up. Seemed like a prison to me, but I know it has to be like that b/c of dealing with addiction. Someone had to be present when I visited. It took an act of Congress to get to visit her. Everything I took her had to be given to the front office for inspection b/4 they gave it to her. I found out some of the items I took her (like chapstick) were thrown out b/c they were against the rules. She had a full scholarship there and blew it. She left there b/c she didn't like being told how to parent. She also didn't want to enter the work program. She remains drug-free a year later, but still practices a lot of behaviors that could send her down the slippery slope. Not the facility's fault.
