I am so thankful to have attended Penfield TWICE. The first time I went, I was court ordered and sadl, Iy did not give the program the respect and attention that is deserved. 13 years later, and plenty more misery and pain later... they accepted me back for another 6 week program. The counselor 's all contibuted to sharing and caring for MY personal recovery. I found a closer relationship with God.. and realized that God had not given up on me... and that I had given up on him...And that Alcohol was just a symptom. My week personal relationship with God, when corrected, saw immediate results. I am about to celebrate 2 years of sobriety and I thank the Penfield program, the Staff, and the contributors who help make this place a refuge and launching place for recovery for those people struggling with alcohol addiction. I use the "tools" that were shown/taught to me at Penfield everyday... and I now have a STRONG spiritual life to get through one day at a time. I learned you cannot do it alone. I highly recomend Penfield for the addited person for a faith based recovery facility.
My son has been at Mt. Sinai for almost a couple of months and I am so pleased with his progress. As a physician myself, I searched for the right place for him to combat this disease. After asking a few other Doctors, I found Mt. Sinai. I speak to his therapist weekly and have zero complaints. Dr. has been excellent in his care for him. I researched medically assisted treatment (MAT) as the only viable option for success, and Dr. is a huge proponent of it. I never thought that this disease would affect our family and it left my husband and I feeling hopeless. loves it at Mt. Sinai. I spoke to his after coordinator last week and I think we have a great plan after he discharges. I would give MSWC 10 Stars if I could.
Staff is supportive, kind, hardworking, knowledgeable. It feels like having a second family here. Location is great for me.
