Prior to joining the River Oaks family, Sina spent nearly 30 years of his career as an ER doctor specializing in internal medicine. In 2012, Dr. Sina’s career path shifted as he immersed himself in the field of addiction medicine. Having struggled with his own issues with addiction for decades, he was inspired by his own personal experience (and the fellow physicians who helped him regain control of his life) to work to help others who are struggling. As of February 11, 2018, Dr. Sina celebrates 7 years in recovery and remains an active participant in 12-step programs. His experience allows him to better understand his patients and their struggles with addiction on a more intimate level. In his spare time, Dr. Sina enjoys skiing, snowboarding, and scuba diving. Dr. Sina is also a certified general aviation pilot and frequently rents planes to fly leisurely.

Dr. Arora is board certified and fellowship trained. With an extensive background in Adult Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, and Interventional Pain Medicine, he began his medical education at Midwestern University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. He then went on to complete his Psychiatry Residency training from the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio where he focused on the treatment of addiction and chronic pain, before pursuing an Interventional Pain Medicine fellowship from Nova Southeastern University/Larkin Hospital in South Miami, Florida. Dr. Arora has also completed a Masters of Science degree in Human Anatomy from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and a visiting fellowship in Neuro-modulation (including ECT, TMS and tDCS) from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Arora’s diverse experience makes him especially well-versed in the myriad of complex patient presentations and novel therapeutic treatment options available today. Dr. Arora also likes to remain active in academia with several publications and speaking engagements.

Dr. Antonio De Filippo is triple board certified in Psychiatry, Psychosomatic Medicine, and Addiction Medicine and is a leading mental health authority in South Florida. Dr. De Filippo’s extensive experience includes senior executive positions at many local Institutions including Spectrum Programs, Archways Community Mental Health Center, Susan B. Anthony Community Mental Health Center, Miami Behavioral Health, and the Broward County Health Planning Council. Dr. De Filippo is currently the CEO of South Florida Psychiatric Services. He is also a speaker for several major pharmaceutical corporations and is frequently requested as a consultant and trainer for national medical advisory meetings. Dr. De Filippo graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Miami and received his medical degree from the University of South Florida’s College of Medicine. He returned to Miami to complete his residency training at the University of Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital. Doctor De Filippo is currently an adjunct professor of psychopharmacology at Nova University Medical School.
